Hi and thanks for posting your question! If you need a video from the cop car, just go to court on your court date and ask to subpoena the video. The judge can advise you on how that procedure works. The NC AOC has a whole bunch of NCAOC (North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts) forms available for free on line. That’s where you’ll find a subpoena form. A lawyer can do this by his own signature but if you are not a lawyer you’ll have to fill out the subpoena form and have the judge sign it. Then usually you have to go through the sheriff’s department to get it served officially. If all goes well, the cop will produce the video next court date if he has it. If he doesn’t, he has to tell the judge why!
